Langan is seeking Site/Civil Engineers to join its collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA. These individuals will serve a key function in assisting with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of an energetic, collaborative team of civil engineers, working on exciting and meaningful projects across many different market sectors. Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment;
  • Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects;
  • Perform zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments, assist with the sidewalk cast estimations, and determine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data;
  • Recommend new approaches and ideas that continuously improve efficiency and services performed;
  • Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
  • EIT certification or in process of obtaining;
  • Related internship / co-op / work experience;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a team environment;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office applications; and,
  • Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
