Langan is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Boston, MA. This individual will serve a key function in designing properties for institutional, mixed-use, waterfront residential, and other exciting land development projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple small‑ and large-scale projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment;
• Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus;
• Need to be a self-starter with problem solving abilities;
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments;
• Must be willing to work in the field as necessary;
• Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends; and
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in related site/civil land development engineering;
• FE/EIT certification required;
• Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong technical skills, and possess the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly and efficiently;
• Proficiency in Microsoft software packages Word, Excel, Office, is required;
• Prior relevant internship or professional experience in site/civil design including site planning, layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and soil erosion;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and
• Possess reliable transportation for job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
