Andrew Ciancia is Chairman of the Board and a Managing Principal in the firm’s 200-person New York City office. Throughout his career, he has managed complex projects involving the investigation, instrumentation, design, construction, and project management of buildings, utilities, highways, petrochemical projects, dams, parks, and marine structures.

Since 1980, Ciancia has worked as a consultant for the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and to numerous owners, architects, and developers on limiting damage to historic structures during construction of adjacent structures. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in nine states, Chair of the ACEC National Engineering Excellence Awards Committee, and member of The Moles. Ciancia also served on the New York City Mayor’s Office Building Resiliency Task Force in response to Superstorm Sandy and to the Department of Buildings on updating the 1968 and 2008 Building Code.
