Principal

Gregory Biesiadecki leads the waterfront and marine engineering team in Langan’s New York City office. He is a geotechnical engineer with more than 35 years in the industry. His practice involves subsurface investigations, design and construction supervision of foundations for waterfront structures, bridges and buildings; development of rehabilitation and expansion programs of  existing facilities; assessment of structural conditions, seismic vulnerability and slope stability evaluation; temporary and permanent excavation support systems; underpinning and slurry walls; pre-construction conditions surveys; and analysis of existing and imposed stresses on tunnel linings.

Biesiadecki has served as principal for countless post-Superstorm Sandy rehabilitation and flood protection projects in the Metro Area as well as dozens of waterfront structure, shoreline stabilization and protection projects around the world.

Currently, Biesiadecki serves on the Structural Committee and the Special Inspections Advisory Committee for the City of New York Department of Buildings (DOB). He was also the former Chair for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Metropolitan Section Geotechnical and Forensics Groups and former member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer.
