Maria G. Flessas, PE, GE
With more than 30 years of experience, Maria Flessas leads geotechnical engineering projects in California from design through construction. Her experience includes high-, mid-, and low-rise structures, educational and medical facilities, dams, and roadways. She oversees construction observation, engineering analysis, and technical management for projects involving driven and drilled pile foundations, drilled pier foundations, mat foundations, earthwork, and deep excavations.
In addition, Flessas reviews recommendations for soil improvement, retaining walls, shoring systems, and soil improvement. She has extensive experience with projects that require compliance with federal, state, and local agencies, including the Division of the State Architect (DSA), the Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development (OSHPD), California Geological Survey (CGS), and Caltrans.
