Managing Principal
Mr. Ueland has nearly 40 years of diverse experience in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and environmental remediation. He specializes in remedial investigation and feasibility assessment, remedial design, planning and implementation of remediation/closure strategies. His extensive experience includes work with large chemical and petroleum manufacturing sites and the assessment and remediation of both Light and Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (LNAPL).
Ueland is the LSRP of Record on many large and complex remediation projects in New Jersey. He leads a team of more than 100 professionals providing a diverse range of environmental services, including remediation, design, hydrogeologic and geochemical assessment, contaminated sediment characterization and remediation, regulatory compliance and permitting, and remediation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other contaminants of emerging concern (CECs). He also oversees the firm’s Digital Solutions Practice, which integrates GIS, data management, and mobile data collection tools for clients.
Ueland actively supports industry groups and provides science-based advocacy positions for relevant technical guidance and regulations, including sediment remediation and ecological risk assessment. As an active member and former Board member of the Chemistry Council of NJ (CCNJ), he frequently speaks at industry events and has served as an instructor and contributing author for both the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) LNAPL Team and the NJDEP LNAPL Technical Guidance Stakeholder Group.
