Stewart Abrams is a former Principal and Director of Remediation Technology at Langan. He possesses over 40 years of extensive experience in site and groundwater remediation, brownfield redevelopment, water treatment, treatability studies and engineering design. Active in industry-wide committees and task forces, he has promoted a rational approach towards PFAS remedial strategies. His expertise in remedial and treatment technologies is multifaceted, including deep knowledge in techniques such as bioremediation, chemical oxidation/reduction technologies, soil vapor extraction, activated carbon and ion exchange. His proficiency extends to water process engineering, particularly in the treatment of water, wastewater, and industrial waste for both organic and metal contaminants. Abrams’ work in PFAS remediation highlights his commitment to addressing the complexity of PFAS remediation and advancing sustainable solutions in the field, reflecting his long and deep experience with the remediation field.
