ASCE Met Section Awards Gina Schoregge and Sam Singer

The ASCE Metropolitan Section honored two Langan employees with 2026 awards: Gina Schoregge won the COPRI Award and Sam Singer won the Thomas C. Kavanagh Service Award.

The biennial COPRI award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated design excellence and innovation on port and harbor, coastal, and waterway projects. Schoregge, PE, WEDG, is a Senior Project Manager in Langan’s New York City office with nearly 20 years of geotechnical experience. Her expertise covers waterfront, marine, transportation (including bridges, tunnels, and subways), and wastewater treatment projects.

The Thomas C. Kavanagh award recognizes a civil engineer who has provided exceptional service and dedication to the profession and the Met Section. Also located in Langan’s New York City office, Singer, PE, LEED AP, is an Associate with 18 years of experience. He specializes in excavation support and underpinning, monitoring, shallow and deep foundations, subsurface exploration, ground improvement, geotechnical-related structural design, water infiltration mitigation, and construction administration. Singer previously served as President of ASCE Met Section and the Met Section’s Younger Member Forum.

Award winners will be celebrated during ASCE Met’s 59th Annual Awards Ceremony at Terrace on the Park on Wednesday, June 17.
