Ashlene Bisram Recognized with ASCE Met Section Younger Member Award
by: Nicole VeenstraThe ASCE Metropolitan Section recognized Ashlene Bisram with the 2024 Younger Member Award. Each year, the award honors one engineer aged 35 or younger for their contributions to the civil engineering profession.
Bisram is a Senior Staff Engineer in Langan’s New York City office. She has over six years of geotechnical engineering experience in boring and test pit special inspections, percolation tests, waterproofing, geotechnical engineering reports, support of excavation design, and construction inspections. Bisram serves as Secretary of the ASCE Metropolitan Section’s Younger Member Forum.
Established in 1920, the ASCE Met Section covers New York City’s five boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk counties in Long Island, and Rockland and Westchester counties in the Lower Hudson Valley. The section boasts over 5,000 members in the civil engineering profession, making it one of the largest and most active ASCE sections in the United States.
Award recipients were celebrated during the ASCE Met Section Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 20.
