ASLA Connecticut Awards Two Langan Projectsby: Nicole Veenstra
ASLA Connecticut recognized two Langan projects during its Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 20.
The UConn Innovation Partnership Building (IPB) received an Honors Award. The IPB is the first building completed within the UConn Tech Park. The 115,000 SF facility houses flexible laboratory, incubation, and office space, allowing for collaboration between world-class researchers, entrepreneurs, and private industry scientists working to develop innovative technologies in various fields. Langan provided site/civil, geotechnical, landscape architecture, and surveying services for the project.
The St. Rose Bells of Remembrance – Peace Garden received a Merit Award. The peace garden honors the victims and families of the Sandy Hook tragedy, and provides a place to gather in times of remembrance. It is located on the property of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, which has served as a healing location for many of the afflicted families, as well as the greater community. Langan provided site/civil and landscape architecture services for the project.
