Burrow Presents “From Zombie Mall to Fulfillment Center” at I.CON East

Langan Senior Principal Richard Burrow, PE, LEED AP, along with Adam Goldberg of Seefried Industrial Properties and Matt Wilson of Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, took part in a panel titled “From Zombie Mall to Fulfillment Center,”  at the recently held I.CON East conference.

The panelists discussed how the abandoned Euclid Square Mall outside of Cleveland, Ohio, was transformed into a modern 855,000-SF fulfillment center. Langan provided a full range of services on the project from due diligence through construction to help shave several months off the typical project delivery timeline. The fast-track nature of the project, and the aspects associated with redevelopment of a former mall site, required the close integration of survey, geotechnical, environmental, site/civil and traffic services, as well as cooperation across the project teams.

I.CON East, hosted by NAIOP, a commercial real estate development association, is the nation’s largest gathering of industrial real estate professionals. The conference focuses on the innovations, trends, and new technologies in industrial development from the best in the business.
