Caryn Barnes Honored as a CIANJ Enterprising Woman in Commerce

CIANJ and Commerce Magazine announced the recipients of their sixth-annual Enterprising Women in Commerce awards, recognizing Caryn Barnes as a Platinum Honoree. The awards program honors extraordinary women whose leadership, dedication, and accomplishments have had a lasting impact on New Jersey’s business community.

With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of environmental investigations and remediation, Barnes is a technical and regulatory expert who actively contributes to the development of regulations, rules, guidance, and policy. She is at the forefront of investigating and remediating PFAS and other emerging contaminants, underscoring her commitment to advancing environmental practices and protecting public health. Additionally, Barnes is president emeritus of the LSRP Association, a trusted contributor to multiple NJDEP stakeholder work groups, and an avid advocate for her clients.

The 2026 winners were honored during the Enterprising Women in Commerce 2026 Awards Reception on Wednesday, August 12, at the Glen Ridge Country Club.
