Chase Center Recognized by DFI and CalGeo as Outstanding Project
by: Kelly SheridanThe Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) and California Geotechnical Engineering Association (CalGeo) recognized Chase Center as an Outstanding Project.
Langan provided geotechnical, environmental, and ground motion engineering services for Chase Center, home to the Golden State Warriors, an arena spanning four city blocks in Mission Bay with seating for 18,000 fans. Langan has consulted on the redevelopment of Mission Bay since 1991.
DFI’s Outstanding Project Award recognizes the superior work of DFI members each year. Winning projects are selected based on size, scope and challenges of the project; degree of innovation and ingenuity exercised; and uniqueness of the solution to the difficulties of the job. The award is being presented during the DFI 45th Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, October 13-16, 2020.
Each year, CalGeo spotlights the best geotechnical projects in the state with its Outstanding Project Awards. A panel of peers selects the finest work from the past year in a number of categories and provides everyone with the opportunity to learn from exciting, innovative approaches to challenging situations.
