Langan Presents at Congressional PFAS Task Force Meeting

Lingke Zeng, Emily Strake, Representative Madeleine Dean, and Jill Blumhardt

The Congressional PFAS Task Force invited Langan to participate in a roundtable discussion on May 6, 2019, regarding the issue of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) contamination in local drinking water. The Congressional PFAS Task Force spoke with government agencies, experts in remediation, environmental groups, and local advocates as part of three panels.

Langan, the only consultant invited, participated in the second panel. During the panel, Emily Strake, CEP, Senior Project Chemist/Risk Assessor, commented on challenges and obstacles associated with development of risk-based concentrations for PFAS, and Lingke Zeng, LEED AP, Remediation Specialist, discussed remediation technology and options. After the event, the testimonies were submitted to the Congressional PFAS Task Force for the record.
