Connecticut Construction Institute Recognizes Langan with Industry Innovation Award

The Construction Institute elected Langan as the recipient of its 2026 Industry Innovation Award. This award recognizes individuals and firms that are developing and implementing innovative solutions and technologies to improve performance and quality of work across the AEC industry.

Langan was chosen for its forward-thinking adoption of artificial intelligence and its work bringing AI into mainstream AEC practice. The firm proactively established an AI Steering Committee to closely evaluate applications and monitor the accuracy, advancements, and risks of large language models. Since then, Langan has built internal chatbots, integrated AI into its proprietary site-inspection technology, and invested in custom applications to gather and streamline market-specific data. Additionally, Langan presents at industry forums nationwide to bridge the knowledge gap and help peers begin their AI journeys.

Founded in 1976, the Construction Institute advances the AEC industry through education, innovation, collaboration, and the development of essential skills to deliver a better built world. The organization will celebrate award winners and its 50th anniversary during the Annual Dinner & Awards event in Hartford, CT, on Thursday, June 11.
