Lori Simpson Named Influential Woman in Bay Area Business

This annual award honors leaders who are making a difference in their companies and communities. This year, the judges reviewed nearly 400 nominations before selecting 80 honorees.
Simpson is a Managing Principal at Langan and the leader of the firm’s Oakland and Seattle offices. She has over 30 years of geotechnical engineering experience, specializing in complex sites with challenging subsurface conditions such as liquefaction, consolidation, expansion potential, caving soil, shallow groundwater, and highly variable stratigraphy. Her project portfolio covers a range of sectors, including high rises, stadiums, hospitals and healthcare, commercial, education, multi-family and affordable housing, life sciences, bridges, infrastructure, and public open space.
Award winners were honored during a celebration gala at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square on Thursday, May 8.
