Michele O’Connor and Mimi Raygorodetsky Honored by Crain’s New York Business

Crain’s New York Business recognized Michele O’Connor, Senior Principal, and Mimi Raygorodetsky, Principal, as 2022 Notable Women in Construction, Design & Architecture. The awards program honored 40 women who represent the top tier of their respective fields, based on their professional accomplishments, dedication to the advancement of women, and contributions to the future of New York City.

O’Connor directs Langan’s site/civil engineering group in the New York City office. Throughout her career, she has managed large, multidisciplinary teams on numerous groundbreaking projects in the New York metropolitan area. Beyond her passion for engineering, O’Connor is also a longtime champion for the empowerment, mentorship, and support of women in the engineering industry. In 2015, she co-founded Women@Langan and currently serves as both a corporate and local office leader. Through O’Connor’s promotion of the program, leaders throughout the industry have sought her advice on best practices and how to execute similar initiatives at their firms.

Raygorodetsky is an environmental practice leader in Langan’s New York City and Denver offices with expertise in environmental consulting and brownfields remediation. She sources and directs large, complex environmental remediation and redevelopment projects from the earliest stages of pre-development diligence, through the remediation/construction phase, to long-term operation and monitoring of remedial systems and engineering controls. As a founding member of Women@Langan and Langan’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Committee, Raygorodetsky is committed to fostering an atmosphere of mentorship and support to empower women to achieve career and personal success.
