Rudy Frizzi Wins 2024 DFI Distinguished Service Award

Rudy Frizzi will be awarded the Deep Foundation Institute’s (DFI) highest individual award, the Distinguished Service Award (DSA), for his valuable contributions to the advancement of the deep foundations industry.
Frizzi is a Managing Principal at Langan and a key leader at the firm. With nearly 40 years in the industry, he has worked on projects on practically every continent worldwide. Frizzi’s experience includes particular emphasis on foundation design and construction in urban areas, and large-scale land and waterfront public and private development projects throughout the United States and internationally. He is a past DFI Trustee (2002-2012) and DFI President (2009-2010), and has been a DFI Educational Trust board member since 2013, serving in the chair position since 2021.
DFI is an international association of over 4,000 engineers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, academics, and owners in the deep foundations industry. The association brings together multidisciplined individuals to find common ground and contribute to the continual advancement within the industry. This year’s DSA award will be presented at DFI’s 49th Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, held October 7–10 in Aurora, Colorado.
