Three Langan Projects Selected for NYSERDA’s First Bulk Energy Storage Awards

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) recently announced awards for eight bulk energy storage projects, including three supported by Langan. These awards mark New York’s first bulk energy storage procurement and will add 950 megawatts of energy storage capacity to strengthen grid reliability across the state. Selected from 46 proposals, the eight award-winning projects are expected to be operational by the end of 2030.

NYSERDA has worked to advance New York’s energy system and economy since 1975. The public benefit corporation provides information, technical expertise, and funding to support energy innovation, increase efficiency, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
