Langan Project Shortlisted for GE Awards International Project of the Year
by: Nicole VeenstraThe Ground Engineering Awards judges shortlisted TSX Broadway for International Project of the Year, with Langan’s London office handling the submission. The annual award recognizes projects that deliver geotechnical excellence, stand out on the international stage, and prioritize sustainability, health and safety, and value engineering. Judges also take into account client satisfaction, geotechnical innovation, performance against prediction, and design and construction quality.
Located in the heart of Times Square, TSX Broadway is one of New York City’s most complex projects to date. The project included the demolition of a 470-foot-tall hotel, construction of a 46-story mixed-use tower, and lifting of the landmarked Palace Theatre 30 feet in the air to make room for retail opportunities and an outdoor stage. Langan played an integral role in the historic project by engineering a way to safely raise the theater, preserve the space, and excavate beneath it without disturbing the structure.
Ground Engineering Magazine hosts the prestigious GE Awards program each year. Winners will be announced at the awards gala on June 18, 2025, at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
