Allegiant Stadium

The design-build Allegiant Stadium is home to the NFL Las Vegas Raiders and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels football team. Located next to the Las Vegas Strip, the site features a 1.8 million SF domed stadium with 65,000 seats and a retractable natural turf field, space for tailgating amenities, parking, and a mixed-use commercial development. After being hired to peer review the foundation design, Langan was appointed geotechnical engineer of record for the project and provided site/civil services. We performed an extensive geotechnical investigation to obtain subsurface information at select column locations to optimize deep foundation, provided key recommendations for street widening, conducted a fault investigation, and analyzed groundwater samples. We also helped design the under-slab and perimeter wall drainage system that was integrated with the sub-slab utilities and foundation systems.
