Avenue of the Arts

Avenue of the Arts reenvisions Philadelphia’s public spaces from City Hall to Washington Avenue, with the goal to create a vibrant mixed-use district that invites, entertains, and supports residents and visitors. We completed right-of-way and topographic surveys of the roadway and sidewalk, prepared schematic plans for the sidewalks, ADA facilities, flex lanes, and medians, and developed Highway Occupancy Permit plans according to PennDOT standards. We also created Maintenance and Protection of Traffic plans to manage pedestrian and vehicle flow during construction, coordinated with PennDOT, Philadelphia Streets Department, Philadelphia Parking Authority, and SEPTA to confirm proper adherence to traffic adjustments, and provided drainage and stormwater management services.
