Carnegie Mellon – Forbes & Beeler Residence Hall

Located in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill North neighborhood, the four-story Forbes & Beeler Apartments complex spans approximately 114,000 GSF and provides 266 beds for Carnegie Mellon University students. Langan conducted boundary, topographic, and utility surveys, performed a subsurface investigation, provided recommendations for the foundation design and site preparation, and examined how the project would affect traffic in the surrounding area. We also developed a PWSA Water and Sewer Permitting and Sewage Facilities Planning Module, designed the site’s stormwater management, and provided erosion and sediment pollution control design permitting.
