One High Line

This 1.8-acre former manufactured gas plant site occupies a full city block and encompasses a 36-story tower and 26-story tower. The 900,000 SF development includes 236 condominiums, the Faena New York Hotel, and a plaza. Langan provided engineering services to help obtain a Certificate of Completion for this project, which was remediated under the NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Agreement. The site was then accepted into the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program and approved for state-sponsored remediation benefits. We also performed an extensive geotechnical investigation, including drilled borings, test pits, seismic cone penetration tests, and preparation of foundation design recommendations; conducted a site-specific seismic study; and developed foundation-related technical specifications.
