Flushing West Rezoning

OVERVIEW
The Flushing West rezoning covers approximately 47 acres in Downtown Flushing and would create mixed-income housing, community facilities, and public access areas. Project goals consisted of creating a zoning text amendment to establish the Special Flushing Waterfront District, updating the Flushing Waterfront Access Plan, and establishing a Special Mixed Use District as a mandatory inclusionary housing area. Langan’s scope of work included providing environmental review services; preparing an Environmental Assessment Statement Report; and providing engineering consultation to support the master planning architect.
