Fontainebleau Casino and Resort

Langan served as the geotechnical engineer-of-record on the $2.8 billion Fontainebleau Casino project, which includes a 67-story tower, a hotel, a casino, a convention exhibition space, and an 11-story parking garage. We conducted subsurface investigations, foundation construction inspections, and soil/structure interaction analysis, ultimately selecting a drilled shaft foundation to minimize settlement. We performed geophysical studies, a groundwater seepage analysis, and designed a subdrain system. We also executed a drilled shaft test program using the Osterberg cell method and managed quality control during foundation installation and site earthwork.
