Fontainebleau Las Vegas

OVERVIEW
Standing at 737 feet tall, the 67-story Fontainebleau Las Vegas is the tallest occupiable building in Nevada and the third-tallest hotel in the United States. The project includes a 3,644-room hotel, a casino, convention exhibition space, and an 11-story parking garage. Langan conducted extensive subsurface investigations to identify soil and groundwater conditions, performed soil/structure interaction analysis to evaluate potential settlements, and analyzed and evaluated shallow and deep foundation alternatives. We also performed geophysical studies to determine seismic design criteria in accordance with the IBC, executed a drilled shaft test program using the Osterberg cell method, and managed QA/QC during foundation installation and site earthwork activities.
