Bell Works – Former AT&T Bell Laboratories
OVERVIEW
Bell Works is a reimagination of the former Bell Labs building, encompassing 2-million SF of space for offices, retail, dining, and hospitality. Designed by architect Eero Saarinen in 1962, the landmarked building previously functioned as a research and development facility for Bell Laboratories and as the headquarters for AT&T. Langan supported the redevelopment of the 473-acre site, including the design of new entrances, lighting, and landscaping, as well as natural resources permitting and field observation during construction of the entrances. We also managed the regulatory permitting, obtaining local approvals from the Holmdel Planning Board and Soil Conservation District.
