Haddon Avenue Corridor Redevelopment

OVERVIEW
Designated a Brownfield Development Area by NJDEP, the 6+-acre Haddon Avenue corridor redevelopment site included multiple dilapidated, abandoned, and underused brownfield sites with suspected environmental impacts. As part of the redevelopment plan, Langan helped facilitate the completion of environmental investigation and remediation activities by obtaining grants through the NJDEP Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund (HDSRF) program. We also prepared and obtained approval of multiple HDSRF applications resulting in approximately $3,500,000 being allocated to Haddon Township to complete the investigation and remediation of the brownfield sites. The redevelopment plan included the creation of a mixed-use transit village with retail space, seven apartment buildings, and a community clubhouse.
