Howard University Middle School – Fab Lab Annex

Langan provided surveying and site/civil engineering services for the expansion of the Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science. This addition required demolition of an existing outdoor play area to allow for the construction of the new science and engineering laboratory, also known as the “Fab Lab." Langan performed boundary, topographic, and utility surveys to provide detailed information about the proposed expansion area. We analyzed the samples and boring logs to compile a subsurface characterization of the proposed expansion area. Langan also provided an erosion and sediment control plan to manage runoff during construction as well as a grading and drainage plan for stormwater management.
