Japantown Mixed-Use Housing

Langan provided geotechnical services for a mixed-use project in San José’s Japantown neighborhood. The site occupies a 3.8-acre parcel and combines two properties. Development plans include a 518-unit apartment community, 19,000-SF retail area with restaurants, and retail. Langan conducted geotechnical investigations to evaluate subsurface conditions and provided design recommendations for the proposed development. Our team is also providing on-site construction observation and testing during site preparation, grading, placement, installation of building foundations, shoring, and testing of tiebacks.
