JFK Middle School

OVERVIEW
This $84-million renovate-to-new school project includes the renovation of 180,000 SF of the existing middle school and a 19,000-SF new addition that will create a new public entry to the community use spaces – bringing the end-result for the overall building to approximately 199,000 SF. Langan provided a boundary and topographic survey that assisted our engineers with the site design, including site layout, drainage, site utilities and erosion controls. Our geotechnical team performed a subsurface exploration consisting of borings to explore subsurface soil and groundwater conditions. Langan's landscape architects worked in conjunction with the design team and prepared a set of detailed drawings suitable for permitting and cost estimating purposes including a planting plan and site lighting plan.
