Ma Riis Park – Phase 2A

OVERVIEW
Ma Riis Park is a municipal park in the Town-Village of Harrison, New York, approximately 1.3 acres in size and surrounded by iconic public buildings. The park supports both active and passive recreation. The town-village sought to redesign the park with new pedestrian walkways, a new children’s playground, a new central gazebo, amphitheater style seating set into the existing hillside, and to refresh the memorial area of the park with new pavers and reset monuments. The redesign would create more open lawn and shift other usable spaces into a more organized configuration. New site furnishings, street trees, and decorative park barrier complete the design. Langan worked with the town-village to create a bid and construction document package for the proposed park improvements including drawings and technical specifications in CSI format.
