Maher Zone

Langan has successfully completed numerous projects located within the Maher zone under Article 22A of the local health code. Sites within this zone contain fill with elevated metals and petroleum hydrocarbons from the 1906 earthquake and fire, underground storage tank releases or freeway impacts. To comply, Langan prepared Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and conducted Phase II sampling to characterize material encountered during construction and manage potential health risks.
