New York Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Located across five municipalities in Suffolk County, these multiple battery energy storage facilities feature interconnections ranging from 13 KV to 138 KV, which equates to 80 MWAC to 300 MWAC. Langan provided site/civil services throughout the project, including laying out the battery energy storage system (BESS) containers and electrical appurtenances, preparing conceptual plans, and the 30% Issue for Bid (IFB) plans. We also performed a preliminary subsurface exploration and provided earthwork, drainage, and foundation recommendations based on the subsurface soils.
