Open Door Family Medical Center

Open Door Family Medical Center is a 25,000 SF federally qualified health facility undergoing a gut renovation to modernize the space, improve parking and the patient drop-off area, and add ambulatory care and behavioral health services. Langan provided the design and associated micro-grading for the front entrance and native planting plan. The planting plan design accentuates the building façade and provides privacy for an outdoor employee space. We also investigated and mitigated drainage and runoff issues at the site, as the building had experienced water infiltration because the exterior grade was higher than the finished floor. Our solution included drainage piping, outlet connections, and grading.
