Penn’s Landing Redevelopment
OVERVIEW
Langan has been involved in the redevelopment of the Penn’s Landing site for many years. Our involvement included geotechnical engineering and environmental permitting for proposed developments. Langan first conducted a geotechnical engineering peer review of previous work and provided value engineering input that saved $2 million for the foundations and geotechnical improvements alone. Langan provided an innovative deep foundation design using driven pipe piles with capacities up to 185 tons-per-pile, design services for the proposed viaduct and approach ramp, and prepared the permit application for submission to both the USACE and PADEP for the proposed construction activities.
