Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church

OVERVIEW
Established in 1916, the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church provided a sanctuary and safe first stop for Greek immigrants disembarking from Ellis Island, and continued helping the community until it was destroyed on September 11, 2001. Langan supported the church’s redevelopment, providing utility and infrastructure design, coordination with multiple public agencies, and a drainage study to assess the impacts of stormwater runoff from an adjacent park. The study included stormwater modeling of the tributary area and a peer review of the park’s design drawings.
