St. Anthony’s Dining Room & Vera Haile Senior Housing

Two non-profits, Mercy Housing and St. Anthony Foundation, partnered to redevelop 121 Golden Gate Avenue into a mixed-use facility for seniors. The existing St. Anthony’s building was demolished and the site was expanded to construct a 10-story building. The housing development falls under US Department of HUD’s Section 202 program for Housing the Elderly. Langan evaluated the site for geologic and seismic hazards. During construction, we provided observation and testing services for augercast pile installation, and observed excavation, compaction, shoring, and underpinning and foundation installation.
