Temple University – Stadium Traffic Study

Langan performed a comprehensive transportation assessment for the proposed new football stadium at Temple University. As part of this effort, our team assessed the distribution and reassignments of vehicular traffic due to planned street closure, trip generation and parking demand estimates, pedestrian connectivity, potential impacts on existing traffic operations, and neighborhood improvement plan. We analyzed multiple options for the reassignment of vehicular trips to assist the team in understanding the overall traffic-related constraints and opportunities. We also conducted a detailed inventory of existing parking facilities both at the TU campus and in the general area to determine supply and demand parameters. Based on the results of our assessment, we identified traffic mitigation and Travel Demand Management (TDM) strategies for implementation.
