Yale University – GIS Mapping & Data Management

OVERVIEW
The university currently maintains their utility information within AutoCAD and paper drawings, which is used to support a wide variety of projects, including numerous ongoing construction and maintenance activities. Langan assisted the university in developing more accurate representation of their utility infrastructure across the campus. Langan is providing underground utility mapping services consisting of GIS database development, utility data migration and field site locating services to enhance the quality of information on file. This project will improve the accuracy and completeness of utility information for the Science Hill area of the campus, which includes the Peabody Museum of Natural History property and is bounded by Edwards Street to the North, Sachem Street to the South, Whitney Avenue to the East, and Prospect Street to the West.
