Workday Headquarters

OVERVIEW
Langan provided geotechnical engineering services for the new Workday headquarters: a 6-story, 410,000 SF glass and steel office building and a 5 ½-story parking garage. The building is across from the West Dublin-Pleasanton BART station and is Pleasanton's tallest office building. The parking structure is situated over major underground BART utilities.

KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy

OVERVIEW
The Cooper Norcross Academy at Lanning Square is a new charter school development located on the site of the former Lanning Square Elementary School, which was closed in 2002. Partial redevelopment of the site began in 2009 under the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (NJSDA), but this work was limited to site preparation and was halted prior to the beginning of building construction. Langan provided multiple services both for the previous NJSDA work and the current work at the site.

New York Proton Center

OVERVIEW
The 3-story, 140,000 SF New York Proton Center in East Harlem is the first proton beam cancer therapy facility in the state of New York. The building has four treatment rooms, a research room, and can treat 1,400 patients annually. The project is a collaboration between Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Montefiore Health System, and Mount Sinai Health System.

The Pierrepont

OVERVIEW
Langan provided multi-discipline engineering services for the development of two 19-story residential towers connected by a common two-story retail space located in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Project challenges included excavation alongside historic buildings and sensitive tunnel structures. Combined foundation (pile-raft foundation) was used to ensure that new foundations do not add load to the existing NYCT tunnels and keep the settlements within allowable tolerance.

CareOne Healthcare Facilities

OVERVIEW
CareOne embarked on a recent state-wide expansion program that includes approximately twenty locations, providing post hospital care, rehabilitation, assisted living, long-term care and clinical specialty programs to the public. Langan is providing the resources necessary to design and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Our ability to provide all land development services has allowed the design process to be fast tracked and to make regulatory submissions on an abbreviated schedule. We are also providing the resources necessary to coordinate and obtain land development permits on the local, county and state levels.

Lafayette College – High Street Streetscape

OVERVIEW
As a central connection point to several buildings on campus, High Street from McCartney Street to Anderson Courtyard is a high-traffic pedestrian zone. Prior to completion of this project, pedestrian safety along this portion of roadway was challenged by parallel parking and crosswalks with limited visibility.

Langan work closely with Lafayette, providing planning, design and construction services implementing: removal of street parking; traffic calming measures; improved pedestrian crossings; and upgraded sidewalks along the length of the street.
