4 Stars for Texas
Langan’s Successful Expansion into the Lone Star State
Rob Adams laughs when recalling how attractive he had become. Well, his firm that is. Over the past few years it seemed that everyone wanted a piece of Texas, and Adams Engineering with offices in Dallas, Austin and Tyler led many large consultants to come calling.
“It always came down to culture,” said Adams, Principal, Langan. “I knew we had desirable locations, but our partner needed to be the right fit for our people, and fortunately that was Langan.”
Also, key to the expansion was the fact that Kyle Bogardus, Principal, had re-located in 2015 to open Langan’s Houston office, which now numbers 40 people. Recently, Sony David, Langan Associate transferred to Texas, joining Rob Adams in Dallas. Long-time leaders Jack Garner, Associate in Austin and Bryan Rossman Associate in Tyler round out the four offices in the Lone Star State.
Langan projects in Texas are extremely diverse, with e-Commerce/industrial the hottest market. Residential, education, healthcare, and a variety of environmental assignments comprise a portfolio supporting growth in all sectors.
“The plan when we joined Langan was to expand our service offerings and client base while integrating our staff and gaining best-in-class corporate support functions we never really had,” said Adams. “Today, that plan is reality. Here in Texas, the blending of our local knowledge with Langan’s resources and national relationships is growing the careers of our people and bringing incredible value to our clients.”
