ASCE San Francisco Awards Four Langan Projects

The ASCE San Francisco Section awarded four Langan projects during the 2023 Section Project Awards on Wednesday, September 20. Projects include:

  • 5M Mixed-Use Redevelopment – Phase 1: Construction Project
  • 1629 Market Street: Urban or Land Development Project
  • Moraga Creek Flood and Erosion Control: Flood Management Project
  • San Francisco-Marin Food Bank Warehouse Expansion: Community Access Project

The annual awards program recognizes outstanding site/civil engineering projects located in the San Francisco area that were completed in the last two years. Each category follows its own criteria:

  • Construction Project: projects that utilized exceptional or innovative construction methods to overcome challenges
  • Urban or Land Development Project: projects located in urban areas and focused on redevelopment to provide value and benefit the community
  • Flood Management Project: projects focused on flood management and protection that use innovative solutions to manage flood plains, address historical flood issues, and develop improvements to benefit the environment and downstream lands
  • Community Access Project: projects that aim to improve the community through education elements, public gathering spaces, creative features, or other inspiring solutions
