The Transbay Block 9 development is transforming the remnants of a freeway and infrastructure into a transit-oriented neighborhood. The 440-foot-tall tower will house market-rate units, affordable units, open spaces and amenities, and retail. Langan is providing site/civil, seismic, and geotechnical engineering services for the project.

In June, Langan teamed up with Urban Releaf, a non-profit organization to plant trees and native plants at Brookfield Elementary in Oakland. Langan employees planted 40 trees and 200 flowers and plants – creating a tree-lined buffer between the shade-less asphalt playgrounds and the adjacent highway. The goal of our collaboration was to counter environmental health hazards of urban areas and transform underserved neighborhoods.
