Colette DiLauro and Emily Mahoney Recognized with Zweig’s Rising Stars Award

Zweig Group recognized Colette DiLauro and Emily Mahoney as Rising Stars in the AEC Industry. Each year, this award acknowledges young professionals who set themselves apart through their technical acumen, leadership, and dedication to the industry and their community. The 2025 class includes 25 emerging leaders located across 15 states, all of whom possess a distinct vision and shared passion for advancing the industry.

DiLauro is a Senior Project Manager in Langan’s site/civil department. Based in New York City, her experience encompasses numerous projects across the city’s five boroughs and international projects in Europe and the Middle East. DiLauro’s passion for the AEC industry is reflected in her involvement with the ACE Mentor Program, which teaches high school students about the profession, provides advice and encouragement, and prepares them for the workforce. She is also an active member of top industry organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, Professional Women in Construction, and the New York Building Congress.

Located in Austin, Texas, Mahoney is an Associate in Langan’s site/civil department. Her professional experience encompasses complex, highly technical projects in the data center, aviation, warehouse, and renewable energy sectors. Her commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible design is reflected across her projects, showcasing her ability to integrate environmental stewardship with engineering innovation. She gives back to the AEC industry through her involvement with CREW Austin, UT Austin’s Girl STEM Day, and Girlstart, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing girls’ interest and engagement in STEM fields.
