Located along the East River, the three 23-story residential towers totaling 124,600 SF will include 857 rental units, 40-foot-long landscaped riverside esplanade with upland connection, underground parking, and commercial and amenity space on top of the podiums with swimming pools and outdoor basketball courts.  Langan is providing environmental engineering and New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) services. Our BCP services consist of technical consulting and support during the preliminary diligence period, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, remedial investigations, and remedial action. We designed two sub-membrane depressurization systems to mitigate vapor intrusion as part of the remedial action. We also performed waste characterization and implemented an extensive hazardous lead soil delineation program on the site, which involved conducting asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, testing miscellaneous materials for asbestos compliance with federal regulations, providing bid support, and preparing abatement design documents meeting the requirements set by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.
