Langan provided site/civil, geotechnical, land development, and ALTA NSPS survey services for the expansion of an existing K-8 charter school on a 29-acre parcel in Union County, North Carolina. The project will better serve 1,100 students by adding 22 classrooms, administrative offices, and a gymnasium. Our site/civil engineering services support the land development package, including stormwater management, utility design, grading, and erosion and sediment control. Additionally, we permitted the project through the City of Monroe. After the concept layout plan was established, our geotechnical team performed a complete subsurface exploration at the site. Seven borings were drilled and logged, and soil samples obtained. Utilizing the City of Monroe Code of Ordinances, we will conduct a tree inventory and provide landscape architectural design for the site.
