Salesforce Transit Center and Salesforce Park

Since 2007, Langan has provided environmental consulting services for the demolition of the former Transbay Transit Center and ramps, which spanned three city blocks, and construction of Salesforce Transit Center and Salesforce Park. The transit center centralizes the Bay Area regional transportation network, including below-grade levels for trains, above-grade levels for buses, and a rooftop public park. Sustainable features include light columns on the roof to save electricity by bringing natural light into the interior of the building, as well as intricate landscapes designed to absorb carbon dioxide from bus exhaust and recycle stormwater. This project is the centerpiece of a transit-oriented neighborhood providing space for the community to live, work, shop, and enjoy the outdoors, all within walking distance.
