Stamford Museum & Nature Center

Langan provided landscape architecture and environmental engineering services for the Planetarium and Astronomy Center at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. The facility features a 100-seat planetarium, roll-away roof teaching observatory, and flexible event space, all seamlessly integrated with the landscape. A universally accessible nature stroll connects the facility to the rest of the campus, incorporating rain gardens, a dry creek bed, a “nature’s classroom,” and planetary orbital rings. This project expands the Center’s hands-on educational opportunities for students, families, and the community.
